My New Gaming Rig PC - Part 17 (Last)

Wednesday, June 22, 2011

Way Back in February when I started blogging about my gaming Rig
I Never though building a Pc could be such an venture.
My ambitious craving for the optimal enhanced PC was endless but fun.
4 months have passed since then and it just seem like Yesterday.
My New Gaming RIG has finaly arrived and sitting on my desk

10:00Am on Jun 17 the engineer Team arrived from the LAB with my PC
I was so concerned if engineer team had followed my advanced instructions
mounting everything as I wanted was no easy task
so I had not sleep much the night before.

As The PC switched on I was surprised everything was perfect
Windows booted superfast as expected with SSD

The Vigorous Silver Arrow Heatsink with a Enermax led fan is Übercool
Silver arrow which is conected by PWM is not that big as you might expect
No regrets with this heatsink is totaly Ace.
All 3 Enermax fans (CPU,Rear, hardisk fan) Look like Smale suns inside PC
They are quite silent for being Led fans.

Also Since HAF-X Case fans only came with 1 Front Led fan
I had to remplace 3 of them with Megaflow Red Led fans.

In the front I placed 2 handy controls for the led fans
the rest of the fans is controlled by fan controller.

SSD was placed in Hotswap to easy change it for another.
HHD was placed inside PC for extra cooling
having one fan in front of the hardisk and one on the back of it.

Performance

The Alienware Monitor for Game and Blueray Movies Just rock
the Deep black screen combined with Led Vibes I get from the Rig
Creates a sensation of absolute utopia.
When Playing Metro 2033 it got even better simply Mindblowing.

Pc noise could be more silent but that was never a priority
however fan noise was reduced by aftermarked graphic card fans.

The Engineer Team had some trouble hooking up my Speakers to the Pc
My Soundstick 3 speakers has no RCA on subwoofer
so they got conected to headphones Out.
But later I found a RCA split cable so i was able to use speaker out.
and now they sound so much better.
and I can also use My Beyerdynamic 770 pro headset
conected to audiophile Audiocard with build in amplifier.

After Engineer team left i found the Front led fan not light up
and the remote for the rear led fan was not installed.
I called The Team and they rushed back to my house to fix the problem

The Led fan light was easy to fix as it was only a cable conexion missing.
The rear fan remote was also installed
And Finaly everything was just perfect.

Early on I had a Red scheme Rig in my mind with Red leds all over.
right before building my PC my concern was if there was too much red.
So i Quickly got atleast 2 LED multifans so i could have some color change.
I am so glad I did
While the Front, top, side and Rear Case fan always Glow red
The Cpu fan and Hardisk fan Can change between Blue,Red and Green.

I found the combination rather nice
the hardisk fan is placed behind the Red Front LEDfan
and when set to say Green looking through the frontFan you see this mix:

Also when the Cpu fan is set to blue the case glow Blue and red
and look realy nice.
The front Grill bellow the Blueray players light up Blue
because of the position of the CPU fan hitting the Grill
Just amazing.

Conclusion:
For me this pc is a 10/10

Sound a bit windy but Hey is 11 Fans and most are LED so is OK
The last months have been a great adventure
I have learned a lot about the latest Pc hardware.
