If you love buses as I do you probaly enjoy playing busgames
My passion for buses started the day I was born
some people find Buses boring others like Me find them fascinating
Tokyo Bus guide (for dreamcast) started it all in 1999
An Arcade game that let you play as busdriver.
It was a strict game in the usual japanesee style driving around tokyo.
the game was only released in Japan.

In early 2000s came the First Bus simulator VBUS a freeware game where you can create and play with many routes and real buses
is great unfortunaly the graphics are not that good but still very recomended.
It let you create your own bus and routes
Vbus had long been a hidden gem but lately it has become more popular.

Bus simulators didnt start to get popular until 2007
when the first comercial Pc Busgame BUSDRIVER by scs was released in Europe.
Busdriver was another arcade game like Tokyo bus but much more easy
having the Best graphics so far in a busgame but lacked the ability

to create new buses and routes
it Shortened the game lifespan (but I keep on enjoy it)

In Desember 2007 Contendo released Bus simulator 2008
claiming it was a Pure bus simulator
The game turned into a Big disapointment mainly because of the poor engine used
becoming one of the worst game ever made (sorry but is true).
Is playable but if you are a Newbie to busgame i recomend Busdriver or Vbus instead.

With Vbus 2009 and Vbus2 in development one could imagine not much more to happen.
Still we (Busgamers) had a dream that one day someone release
a Real good bus simulator with realistic graphics and engine.

Then The miracle happen OMSI BUS SIMULATOR

In OMSI you can Drive a bus to pick up passengers, open/close doors
change destination sign, open the window and much more
So far no Dates when is released lets hope is in 2009
As you can see on the screenshot bellow is quite realistic
