2001-2010 Jlfusion

JLfusion was created in 2001 as a personal webpage to share a life of dreams
9 years later we have come to a point where change need to be a done
This is not a easy decision since much is left behind and some projects stops
We like you to stay with us for a moment to share what lies ahead

Note: This blog post was updated January 2010 to suit the new Blog site better
it is now decided JLFUSION continue on blogger
The domain name JLFUSION.com  will be kept and transfered to blogger
so this site jlfusionbox.blogspot.com will later IF everything goes fine
change to jlfusion.com.

Dear Friends

I created Jlfusion.com in 2001 as a big project to share my stuff with the world
through the years there has been so many projects some of which came true some not
Looking back i gladly remember the bright sides but regret the darker sides
Is there something from back then I would do different today?
cutting down on heavy graphics such as animation and background music,
asking permission for images and webdesigns and focus more on content
and stressing less about design comes to mind.
I like to think past is past.
I still hope some have had possitive experiencies with mysite you the visitor of this web will stay in my heart for ever

overall it was about exploring going from a early stage learning and evolving to something new

What will happen to Jlfusion.com now?
9 years has gone since I first started hosting on Ibericahosting for a very high price

the server cost for 9 years has been around 5600 euro
Price was never an issue in favour of speed and most of time it has been stable
Ibericahosting mailsystem was highly vulnerable

I could get 10000 Spams mails a week
The solution: a spam-filter for a extra-fee that i was charged without asking
If a system is vulnerable to spam the provider should fix it for free
and not at all upgrade and then charge the upgrade without asking
even if the cost is only 10 euro a month more
the reason for the change is the cost.

My web has always been a Fusion of dreams a place to make dreams come true

sharing with the world mostly videogames, technology and the unknown.
Now i have a new dream, in the financial times we are in
the key to reach the dream requires a sacrifice of ressources
After some thoughs i see the best way is to cut down on server cost
moving on somewhere else

I haven’t give much though about the change but:
1. Jlfusion.com can no longer be hosted where it is now
2. Jlfusion.com will evolve into a blog using blogger or wordpress free
3. Jlfusion.com hostname might be reserved or ended (not decided)
4. In the new Blog i will continue to ramble about my current life
5. Continue to evolve the prosject as now on forums, Twitter,youtube and blogs
I am not so much into making lot of websites now
(Is rather time-consuming for a perfectionist like me)

What happens to the Projects that already exist on Jlfusion.com today?:
Some will end , something will continue as it is and some will evolve

- Here is the changes -

Dmusic channel:
hosted at google blogger will continue as normal

Xtragalactic:
hosted at google blogger will continue as normal
some images might need to be reupped if they are hosted on old server.

Fantasy Kingdom:
An old Discontinued website when old server shut down it will close

80Style:
Hosted on old sever will close together with server

MD channel:
Minidisc news and music charts has moved to Dmusic channel blog
Md gallery is hosted at picassa and will stay the same
the rest on the page will close down (probaly even the MD forums)

Images galleries:
hosted on Picasa and Flickr stay the same

JLFUSION.com:
A new blog will be created at blogger
a new mainsite linking to all current project will be established
so eventually a new Jlfusion Blog about my life will open
The domain name might be reserved 

When will JLFUSION.COM close?
It is not decided if it will close or just move or evolve
but it does need a change
The Deadline start for the new projects is March 2010
this means that by early 2010 jlfusion.com the change has to be done

Althrough i regret ending this projects website that started in 2001
there is also good reasons to reach a dream and as they say “Change or die”
My dreams will continue elsewhere on internet

I do not need any money I only need ideas. Sincerely The Webmaster
